We exist to give you a unique choice.
The world keeps selling you the same thing. Darkly Energized is the option that converts dreams into production software.
What we stand for
- A unique choice
- A CTO's judgment and an agentic system, sold as one thing. Not a shop, and not a tool.
- Control
- What we build for you is yours to keep. Nothing about it depends on keeping us around.
- Candor
- If the honest answer is that you do not need it, that is the first thing you hear.
Twenty years of building, and the judgment that comes with it.
Darkly Energized was founded by Kain Osterholt: engineer, engineering manager at Apple, director of software at Digital Domain, and CTO at FinHero. The company exists because the experience of running engineering for regulated products belongs on the client's side of the table, and not only inside the companies that can afford a CTO.
